Welcome to ZeldaFD!

ZeldaFD is the homesite for the nonprofit, open source fan game, Zelda - Fused Destiny by SoulofDeity. Zelda - Fused Destiny takes place on the child time-line between Zelda - Majora's Mask and Zelda - Twilight Princess. The graphics are 3D and based on those used in the Nintendo64 Zelda games, however its not a hack. Currently ZeldaFD is being made for Windows and Mac, but should we get a licensed version of Unity3D, you'll be able to download it for PSP, X-Box 360, and the Wii.

If you're already a member, go ahead and sign in, otherwise, allow us to explain how you can help. Unlike most websites, ZeldaFD doesn't follow a hierarchy of power, nor are people assigned specific jobs. The forums are divided into categories that briefly suggest the topic. There, you can discuss each others ideas openly, and be subject to the praise and / or criticism of others. If all or most of the members are in favor of your idea, it will be included in the game. (regardless of whether or not the owner is in favor of it) The only exceptions for which the owner will have a dominant yes or no are if your idea:

• has sexually explicit content
• could potentially cause a great deal of negative attention
• contradicts the story and / or timeline to such a degree that it hinders the production of the game

Now, you may be wondering why there are moderators and administrators. For starters, the purpose of moderators and administrators is to help keep the forums clean of spam, help settle disputes between 2 or more members, and help manage the site and youtube channel. This means that the qualties we look at when appointing mods and admins are:  how often they are on, how much they contribute, their sense of judgement, how much they can be trusted, and their temper. In addition to helping manage the website, the mods and admins have their own category in the forums to post newletters and are the middlemen you go to in order to submit videos to the ZeldaFD youtube channel.  If you would like to submit a video, you can make an account on the forums and find the thread about submitting. Lastly, admins are also capable of managing blog topics on the home page.
